DEUTERONOMY 6:6-7
The ministry of Sunday School is a very blessed ministry, as it reaches out to the younger generations of the church with the message of salvation, preparing them and equipping them with knowledge of the Word of God as well as practical life skills. We know that in God’s eyes every child is as precious as an adult.
We thank God that we have the opportunity every week to reach out to children with the Word of God and to see them touched and respond to it. Our goal is to build faith in Christ, fear of God, love and respect for people, and a desire to serve the Lord in their hearts.
What motivates and energizes us is what God asks of His people in Deuteronomy 6:6-7, and we believe that He asks the same of us today.
“And these words, which I command you today, shall be in your heart, and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.”
If there was no time to waste then, how much more so today!
Our prayer is:
- That they may know the Lord and have a personal relationship with Him.
- That they may live out God’s plans for their lives in the abundance of Christ’s grace.
- That they may stand before the Lord and learn to receive blessings.
